Description
Shimpo FGS-100E motorised stands, combined with Shimpo force gauges, form a complete force measurement system; the steel construction makes them robust and precise. 7-key keypad with emergency stop button; four modes (manual, jog, single cycle, continuous); speed units mm/min or in/min; manually adjustable upper and lower limit stops. When connected to a Shimpo FGV force gauge, the stand receives the programmed overload limit and stops to protect the sensor. Compatible with almost all force gauges; 100–230 V AC power supply without a transformer.

Selection guide: Motorised stands series
Shimpo FGS-100E-H motorised vertical test stand, high speed 20–600 mm/min, capacity 50 kg (110 lb), travel 400 mm, 4 operating modes, stop on overload from the FGV force gauge.
Available models: FGS-100E-H, FGS-100E-L, FGS-220VC. Choose the capacity so that the force to be measured falls between 20 and 80% of full scale (F.S.): this makes the best use of the instrument's accuracy and avoids overloads.
Guide to the series: FG-3000 and FG-7000 are the compact digital force gauges (the FG-7000 adds data outputs and memory); FGE-XY and FGV-XY have a reversible display for tension and compression readings (FGV with USB/RS-232 outputs); FG-3000R and FG-7000L use external load cells for high capacities; MF and MFD are mechanical force gauges that need no battery; PT kits add accessories for ergonomics and physiotherapy.

Integration and programming
Motorised stands series force gauges can be used by hand or mounted on a Shimpo FGS test stand (manual or motorised) using the mounting plate; grips with M4, M6 or M10 threads screw directly onto the measuring rod.
Models with data output (USB, RS-232, analogue depending on the model) transfer readings to a PC with the Shimpo software for force/time graphs, statistics and test reports; models with memory record the peaks for later download. MF/MFD mechanical force gauges give a direct reading on a dial with a peak pointer.
Our technical team will support you in choosing the stand, grips and software, and in integrating them into your control plans.
Calibration and repair
Every Shimpo force gauge is calibrated at the factory; on request we supply the calibration certificate with traceability. Periodic verification (annual is recommended, or according to your quality system) is carried out with reference masses or a reference cell over the whole capacity, in tension and in compression.
Avoid overloads beyond full scale and impacts on the measuring rod: they are the main cause of load cell drift.
