Description
The DT-311D is a portable, highly stable, industrial-grade xenon stroboscope for non-contact inspection and observation of moving parts, which appear stationary or slowed down. The robust metal housing withstands heavy industrial use. The universal 85–240 V AC supply means the same model can be used in many countries; the supplied upper and lower handles make it easy to carry and use. The flash frequency is adjusted to inspect rotating or reciprocating machinery such as gears, rotors, shafts, rewinders and printing machines without stopping production; with a remote sensor connected, the external trigger synchronises the flashes with the process speed. Focused reflector with no shadow areas, thread for tripod or fixed mounting.
Specifications: flash range 60–12,000 FPM, accuracy ±0.01% F.S., resolution 0.1 from 60 to 6000 and 1 from 6001 to 12,000, 5-digit display with 10 mm digits, xenon lamp ≤45 W with a life of 50,000,000 flashes, flash duration 10–30 µs adjusted automatically. External trigger input 5–12 V DC (active high) from a sensor, sensor supply 12 V DC up to 50 mA, pulse >50 µs. Illuminance: at 20 cm 1550 lx at 1500 FPM and 2350 lx at 6000 FPM (diameter 400 mm); at 50 cm 650 lx at 1500 FPM and 580 lx at 6000 FPM (600 mm). Operating temperature 0–40 °C. CE marking, RoHS. 1-year warranty.

Integration and programming
The flash rate is set from the keypad or with the knob and read on the display; models with an external trigger input synchronise with a sensor (photocell, proximity) to automatically "freeze" the motion at the real speed of the machine, with phase shift adjustment.
The ST-328/ST-329 bars are installed on the machine using the supplied brackets and controlled from the remote control unit; versions with 100-120 V or 220-240 V supply. For integration with encoders or machine signals, our technical team will support you in choosing cables, sensors and adapters.
Calibration and repair
Shimpo stroboscopes are calibrated at the factory and frequency accuracy is ensured by the quartz oscillator. On request we supply the frequency calibration certificate with traceability. Xenon lamps, batteries, cables and rubber guards are available as original spare parts.
