Description
The DT-326B is a lightweight portable stroboscope with high-power LEDs; the rechargeable lithium battery provides up to 12 hours of operation on a single charge. The LED array provides bright, stable stroboscopic light over a wide measuring range, with a far longer life than xenon stroboscopes. It is designed for speed and frequency measurement in motion and vibration analysis and is suited to predictive and preventive maintenance: motors, shafts, gravure printing, extruders, blow moulding, wire marking, engraving, water jets, fans, cams, gears, belts, injectors, vibration analysis, spindles, blade timing and sharpening, in the printing, packaging, textile, automotive, cable, mining, steel, chemical, optical, medical and marine sectors.
Wide range 60–120,000 FPM (1–2000 Hz), adjustable pulse duration for sharper images, 100–240 V AC mains operation with the adapter for continuous use or battery operation, phase shift to advance or delay the flash, sensor trigger input with delay and rising- or falling-edge activation, x2 and 1/2 keys and +/- fine adjustment.
Accuracy 0.01% ±1 digit F.S. at 25 °C. Illuminance at 6000 FPM and 2.5°: 5800 lx at 20 cm (diameter 100 mm), 1050 lx at 50 cm (152 mm); at 1500 FPM: 6400 lx at 20 cm, 1125 lx at 50 cm. LED life approx. 3–5 years depending on use. Backlit LCD display. Resolution 0.1 FPM up to 12,000, 1 FPM above; 0.01 Hz up to 200 Hz, 0.1 Hz above. Flash duration 0.1–2.5°, phase shift 0–359°. Lithium battery 12.6 V 750 mAh. 12 V pulse signal input via mini-USB, 60–12,000 FPM, pulse >50 µs, delay 0–999 ms or 0–359°. Temperature 0–35 °C, humidity 35–85% RH. Integration and programming
The flash rate is set from the keypad or with the knob and read on the display; models with an external trigger input synchronise with a sensor (photocell, proximity) to automatically "freeze" the motion at the real speed of the machine, with phase shift adjustment.
The ST-328/ST-329 bars are installed on the machine using the supplied brackets and controlled from the remote control unit; versions with 100-120 V or 220-240 V supply. For integration with encoders or machine signals, our technical team will support you in choosing cables, sensors and adapters.
Calibration and repair
Shimpo stroboscopes are calibrated at the factory and frequency accuracy is ensured by the quartz oscillator. On request we supply the frequency calibration certificate with traceability. Xenon lamps, batteries, cables and rubber guards are available as original spare parts.
