Description
The ST-328 is a fixed-mount strobe bar with high-power xenon lamps, providing bright, stable light over a wide area. Available in standard lengths from 260 to 1500 mm, it is easy to fit to production machines; an optional mounting kit is available. Programming is carried out via an integrated or remote control unit (connected with a 3 m cable); 6-key keypad, large red LED display, frequency adjustment by knob. The flash can be set manually or synchronised with the signal from a remote sensor. Lamps can be removed individually. Industries: printing, packaging, textiles, automotive, cables, mining, steel, chemicals, optics, medical and marine.
Measuring range 60–20,000 FPM, accuracy 0.01% ±1 digit F.S. at 25 °C, lamp life approx. 10^7 cycles depending on use, resolution 0.1 FPM up to 12,000 and 1 above. Maximum power 100 W. Signal input 5–12 V pulsed (active high), 3-pin M-16 connector, pulse >50 µs. Temperature 0–35 °C, humidity 35–85% RH. Aluminium control unit with IP65/NEMA 4X protection rating; bar with ABS window and aluminium frame, flanges for 6 mm screws. Cross-section 152 x 146 mm. CE marking, RoHS. 1-year warranty.

Integration and programming
The flash rate is set from the keypad or with the knob and read on the display; models with an external trigger input synchronise with a sensor (photocell, proximity) to automatically "freeze" the motion at the real speed of the machine, with phase shift adjustment.
The ST-328/ST-329 bars are installed on the machine using the supplied brackets and controlled from the remote control unit; versions with 100-120 V or 220-240 V supply. For integration with encoders or machine signals, our technical team will support you in choosing cables, sensors and adapters.
Calibration and repair
Shimpo stroboscopes are calibrated at the factory and frequency accuracy is ensured by the quartz oscillator. On request we supply the frequency calibration certificate with traceability. Xenon lamps, batteries, cables and rubber guards are available as original spare parts.
